you only have a bacteria bloom that's why you did a water change and clean up the filter all at once and the aquarium run out of bacteria live it for a few days and it settle by it's self

water seems better but parameters with a strip were all ok exept no3. i bought a test kit and it is marking 75. i tested tap water and it gave me same result. help...

Have you checked your nitrate level with a liquid drops test as opposed to a test strip?

yes that how i confirmed both my tank's and my tap water nitrate regarding plants its a it diffecult with mbuna as the have dug every corner. maybe i can use java ferns attached to stones?

i am getting an algae problem nost probably bread algae as i have like a brown red rush on all stone work. any suggestions? today i am doing a water change 20% first one since 11th march.

but are they like brown circles on the rocks? If so they're diatoms which an Otto or a Chinese algae eater would eat
